Tell us about yourself.

Hi! I’m Tigra, I’m a lyricist and vocalist working on my latest musical project, Tigra and Spencer and I can’t wait to bring it to the world!

Life for everyone is quite different right now– what are you doing on a daily basis to stay positive and healthy?

During the quarantine I’ve been going back to basics. I’ve been painting my own nails, making my own hair treatments and face masks, finishing projects around the house, cooking from scratch and gardening. I’d recommend everyone start a victory garden of their own. Aside from being a really healthy activity, it teaches you patience, how to focus on little things like bugs and dirt, how everything on Earth works together to keep each other healthy and there’s really no greater reward than preparing a meal completely from plants you’ve grown yourself.

Who or what are your current muses?

My pets, the children in my family and my friends’ kids have been my current muses for their ability to adapt so quickly to any situation we throw at them without resentment or fear. They remind me to find ways to play daily, use my imagination, be silly, laugh and entertain myself when those things or people that I usually have access to are taken away. Staying positive is a choice and they remind me to keep choosing to be happy everyday.

What do you do to stay creative?

As an artist, keeping in touch with all of my creative friends and family members helps me to maintain creativity on a daily basis. I love hearing what they’re working on and being able to help each with some of our projects.

What inspires you to keep creating?

I’m inspired to keep working because in the most challenging of times, having a creative outlet has always served as the best release for me. Digging deep and reaching those innermost hidden gems has been especially beneficial now that there aren’t as many distractions because the whole world is at a standstill. It’s been much easier to tap into the quiet.
